Daniel is a partner in the Boston office of Morrison Mahoney. He concentrates his practice in the area of professional liability and represents attorneys, real estate professionals, and insurance brokers on a variety of malpractice claims and before disciplinary tribunals. Daniel serves as the external general counsel for a multi-national sports product distributor and offers guidance on all manners of risk exposure ranging from regulatory investigations to contract negotiations to personal injury claims. Daniel also has an extensive practice in products liability law, where he regularly defends clients from multi-million dollar traumatic injury claims ranging from rollovers to explosions to industrial accidents. In his representation of businesses in OSHA investigations across the East Coast before the Appeals Court of Massachusetts, various OSHA Review Commissions, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Daniel successfully convinced federal and state authorities to dismiss such investigations without either a citation or penalty against his clients. Daniel’s clients enjoy the benefit of his focused attention on their business operations as well as their opponents and competitors, as this collaboration often leads to uncovering tangible evidence that benefits the client. He skillfully provides advice that balances the company’s realities of operating a business and the desire to minimize its future liabilities.
