Phil has led engagements across the full life cycle of M&A for independently owned insurance agents and brokers, specialty distributors, wealth and retirement advisors, private equity firms, banks and credit unions, and insurance carriers. His focus is simple: deliver a seamless, comprehensive experience that drives long-term value for clients. Beyond his M&A leadership, Phil contributes to MarshBerry’s consulting practice by guiding clients in strategic planning, internal succession and perpetuation, valuation, organizational development, and compensation & equity incentive plan design. He brings practical, actionable tools that help firms accelerate growth and improve profitability. As a facilitator for MarshBerry’s peer exchange network, Connect, Phil champions the belief that sharing best practices strengthens the entire industry. Phil previously served as Executive Vice President within the M&A team and President of the Investment Banking & Consulting division before assuming the role of President of MarshBerry in 2025. Phil holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and management information systems from Ohio University and a JD from Cleveland Marshall College of Law, and is licensed to practice law in Ohio.
