Assistant Vice President, Human Resources: Arbella Insurance Group
Ellen Mann is the Head of Human Resources for the Arbella Insurance Group. She oversees the people strategy and management of the Human Resources function, which includes talent acquisition and development, employee retention programs, compensation and benefits, total rewards, payroll, and HRIS. Additionally, Ellen leads and sustains Arbella’s distinguished people-first culture and values, including diversity and inclusion, which are critical to the company’s success. Wellness and well-being are at the core of Arbella’s value system, and she oversees the employee assistance program, onsite nurse, and fitness center. Ellen has worked to build a world-class human resources organization that has been recognized as a Best Place to Work by the Boston Business Journal for fifteen consecutive years. Ellen plays a consultative leadership role in aligning Arbella employee performance with the company’s strategic business plans. She and her team provide personalized coaching and guidance to all levels of leadership on succession planning, strategic staffing plans, compensation, performance management, and organization development. Ellen joined Arbella in 2007. Before Arbella, Ellen worked for more than 15 years in human resources roles with Putnam Investments and Mercer. She earned a BA in business from Saint Anselm College.
