DESCRIPTION:
Most contractors operating in the United States have at some point participated in an Owner Controlled or Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP, CCIP). In an OCIP or CCIP, the project owner or General Contractor typically provides general liability, excess liability, and/or workers' compensation insurance coverage to the general and trade contractors working on the project site. But OCIPs come with risks, making it essential for Agents to fully understand how they work and how their Insureds insurance meshes with the program.
